What are the program entry requirements?

To access our Bachelor degree program, you must have successfully completed your final secondary school examinations and demonstrate english proficiency.

You must have passed a secondary school graduation exam.

Good to know: If you are in your final year of secondary school, you can apply for admission subject to your final diploma. You will need to provide us with your results and a copy of your diploma as soon as you receive them.

Transcripts must show the courses you took and the grades you received.

We will select candidates with grades well above the minimum required and excellent marks in specific subjects that you will need to succeed at SHBM.

You must prove that you meet the language proficiency requirements in English and French.

The minimum level required in both languages is a lower B1/upper B2 corresponding to :

English:

  • Lower B2: TOEIC 785 / IELTS 5.5
French:
  • B1 / B2: CECRL Independent user level
Please note: Your English language proficiency will be assessed during the admission process. We reserve the right to ask you to take a supplementary English course or diploma.

A preparatory year, including a 6-months industry internship is required before starting the Bachelor program.

Good to know:

This preparatory year is optional for students who have proof of the necessary prerequisites: at least 400 hours of practical experience in hospitality and practical service knowledge according to the course content of semester 1.

We will evaluate the relevance of these 400 hours based on the course content, the institution where the practical experience was undertaken as well as a specific on-site interview.

You must be at least 18 years old at the beginning of the program.

17-year-old students who will turn 18 during their first study year will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Application Process

What is the application process?

All of the documents listed below must be uploaded in the specific section.

We accept documents in French, English or Arabic.

  • Copy of passport or identification document
  • Copy of all available school transcripts from the last three years of high school (For students coming from the Moroccan schools: Please submit the overall transcript of the 3 years of high school)
  • Diploma or proof of graduation (You will need to upload this document as soon as available)

Good to know:

Please note that if you still need to pass some exams, you can already start your application. Even though some documents are missing, you only need to fill in your email address and upload the other items.

Once all documents are submitted, applicants will be invited to complete an online assessment as part of the second stage of our admissions process.

This assessment is specifically designed to evaluate candidates' critical thinking and analytical skills, as well as their knowledge and understanding of the dynamic and ever-evolving world of business within the hospitality industry. It serves as an important tool in identifying motivated candidates who possess the skills and mindset necessary to excel in our program.

Upon a positive evaluation of your application and the online test by our admissions team, you will receive an invitation to participate in the SHBM written exam. The assessment consists of 4 written tests including:

- English language test

- French language test

- General knowledge test

- Logic test

You will then be invited to an oral assessment interview.

This last step is an online oral interview with an international panel from diverse backgrounds: Academia, Hospitality industry, Hospitality entrepreneurs, Business coach, UM6P and SBM members. It is not a test of your hospitality knowledge. The aim is to assess your motivation and your potential. We will ask you to tell us about your experience and your expectations. Our questions will focus, for example, on any summer jobs you may have had, your extracurricular activities, and your future career expectations.

Following the interview, we will evaluate your complete application and make a final decision.

You will receive your final decision within two-weeks of your online/onsite interview.

Financial Aid

What kind of financial support is available?

A scholarship system allows, mainly through the OCP Foundation, to support talented students who do not have the necessary financial resources. These grants can cover part or all of the cost of accommodation and meals, as well as tuition fees.

Academic scholarships are based on academic excellence and awarded based on your results at the entrance exams. They are intended to cover all or part of your tuition fees for the duration of your studies.

Good to know:
  • Scholarships and financial aid can be combined.
  • Obtaining a scholarship involves attending classes. Except in special cases, scholarships are suspended if you repeat a term.
Financial aid is granted annually by the Scholarship Committee on the basis of social criteria, depending on the family's income and expenses. They are intended to cover all or part of the cost of accommodation and meals, as well as tuition fees not covered by a scholarship.

To find out if you are eligible, submit an application with supporting documents to the Scholarships Committee.

Good to know:
  • Scholarships and financial aid can be combined.
  • Obtaining a grant requires attendance at classes. Except in special cases, grants are suspended in case of repeating a term.

Our Bachelor program is a full time program and therefore allows little flexibility for a side job.

However, there are various part-time student job opportunities on- and off-campus.

Contact our admissions team to get more information.

Today, paid internships are more common than unpaid ones. The vast majority of interns working in for-profit organisations must be paid at least the applicable minimum wage and overtime.

By choosing your internship carefully, whether in Morocco or internationally, you will have the opportunity to gain valuable work experience while earning a living.
